Gaza Attacks with Rockets, Mortar Shells
Terrorists with rocket

Terrorists in Hamas-run Gaza launched two rockets and two mortar shells at civilians in southern Israel on Thursday night. One rocket landed near the city of Netivot; the other missiles hit the Shaar HaNegev region.

A short time later, a second rocket hit Netivot, slamming into the courtyard of a local synagogue. The building was damaged.

No injuries or damage were reported in the attacks.

Earlier in the day terrorists fired five rockets at southern Israel, hitting open areas. No injuries were reported in the attacks.

On Thursday morning, terrorists fired an anti-tank missile at IDF soldiers near a central Gaza crossing. The soldiers were unhurt. The IAF responded by targeting the terror cell, killing two of the attackers.

Gaza terrorists, including those affiliated with the ruling Hamas, have fired more than 100 rockets at civilians in southern Israel since Israel unilaterally ended the Cast Lead operation in January. Hamas leaders have expressed interest in a year-long ceasefire, but insist that they be allowed to import weapons during that time.
